Project Description:

The objectives are to make available adequate and reliable electricity to boarder towns in Namibia and Western region of Zambia. The project primarily aimed at strengthening the existing supply to Caprivi region in Namibia by constructing a new 200km 220kV Transmission line from Victoria Falls (Zambia) to Katima Mulilo (Namibia) including a new substation at Katima Mulilo.
BKS Acres in association with Bicon Zambia Limited were commissioned by ZESCO (Zambia Electricity Supply Corporation) for the provision of consultancy services for this project. BKS Acres and Bicon Zambia Limited were responsible for design, contract documentation and construction supervision of all Electrical, Civil and Structural works on the project.
