Project Description:
The objectives of the project were to construct a substation at the proposed redevelopment of society house and central arcade
The Substation was constructed to feed the following areas
- A 148 room, 18 Floor Hotel
- A two Storey Shopping Mall
- A six storey Office tower
Bicon Zambia Limited were tasked with designing, supervision and commissioning of the substation.
The Substation was constructed with the following specifications:
- 4.6MVA 11/0.4kV
- 4 No. Transformers ( 3 No. 1.0 MVA Transformers and 1 No. 1.6MVA Transformer),
- Ringmaster Unit and Extensible Rings main Unit etc
