Lukulu Chinsali Road
Construction OF approximately 340 Km of the Great North Road (T2) from Lukulu Bridge To Chinsali in Northern Province

Project Description:
The main work items undertaken on this road project involved the following:
- Treatment of surface defects by patching and sealing the existing pavement layers.
- Shoulder reconstruction of a 150mm chemically stabilised layer.
- Reconstruction of waterlogged and collapsed road sections.
- Construction of double seal surfacing.
Replacement and repair of existing drainage structures. - Cleaning and shaping of open drains.
Providing road furniture. - Ancillary works.
After approval of Variation Order No.4, additional and emergency works were implemented on this contract which involved the following:
- Constructing a rigid pavement on the Mpika Police Check Point.
- Constructing a rigid pavement on the Mpika Weigh Bridge entrance and exit.
- Reconstruction and Pothole patching on 200km of Chinsali-Nakonde road.
